Following a career in R&D Project Management where Health and Safety was a major consideration, Barry briefly managed a local OE Centre before spending 2 years as Outdoor Education Advisor to Orkney Island Council. He has completed British Canoeing's Safety Officer training and holds various Safety & Rescue, Leading and Guiding endorsements.
