Our risk assessments (and supporting notes where applicable) are reviewed regularly with copies of current risk assessments available from any committee member. Our Activity Leaders use these, our Health & Safety Checklist and dynamic risk assessments during activities to help ensure the safety of all participants. Where a risk assessment has not been produced for a trip, Activity Leaders are responsible for producing one and passing it to the club secretary before the trip. Our Leaders also operate under guidance from Paddle UK in respect of the environmental conditions, type and numbers of craft and paddlers they may take responsibility for when leading club activities.
